| Risk-Food New bacteria - Stomach ache When traveling, you should always be careful with food. That said, Thailand is a country with a large tourist sector and very safe food. Unlike India, you can also eat street food here without being afraid. However, you should avoid uncooked proteins such as raw oysters or goi nōa, Thai raw beef. Thai cooking uses a lot of lime and chili, both of which kill bacteria. If food/sauce that is not spicy has been sitting out for a while, you should be more careful. If you do get a stomach ache, very strong antibiotics can be bought without a prescription here, but be careful because you need bacteria in your stomach and food poisoning usually goes away in 2+3 days even without medicine. Drink a lot, use fluid replacement, try activated charcoal, and if you have diarrhea, take Immodium. | Tue Jan 28 16:01 (id: 665) |
